My husband needs to cut a drain pipe that is very hard to get to.

Is there a blade for a reciprocating saw? What would you use?

TIA

....found that if I put my meter from the black wire to the ground (bare) wire I had 120 VAC. Is something hooked up wrong? It's powered by a switch that has two black wires going to it.

My Vaillant Ecomax 824E Boiler has gone on the blink: no hot water or heating!!!!!!!!!

Help!

The fault code F05 is flashing on the screen!

What do I need to do to solve the problem myself?!

Please don't advise me to ring up someone to help - I don't have the money. (it is outside of the 7 year free service and maintenance period)

Cheers.

the temperature is minus 1 outside - im so cold .help!

the manual says Fault code F05 means 'interruption of DHW heat exchanger NTC (NTC3)'

'possible causes: 1. loose wire/poor connection to NTC3
2. defective NTC - replace NTC3'

help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

NTC3 is the temperature sensor!

My husband and I just bought our house and we CANNOT afford gas heat. We'd much rather have electric heat, but we really dont know how much it would cost or how to go about getting it done. If any one would reply to this we'd REALLY appreciate it.

Hi,

Last week my son put a plastic toy in the heat register (it's the electric type of heater, attached to the baseboard of every room of our apartment, not forced air or anything like that) and of course it started to melt. We caught it pretty quickly and got all the visible plastic cleaned out, but the smell of melting plastic is still very obvious. Is there any way to get rid of the smell or do I have to let it "burn off"? I don't want my son sleeping in a room that is reeking of melting plastic, but it also gets too cold in there to leave the heater off. Suggestions?

I was told to get 4 cycle motor oil for a snowblower I just bought. The only oil I could find was 4V and the store selling it said thats the same as 4 cycle oil. Is that correct?

New sump placed in the basement has drainage holes all around the perimeter extending down to the bottom of the crock. This is a ridiculously wet area and the pump runs fairly often.. perhaps every 12 minutes even when not raining. When it is wet though I think since the holes go all the way down it makes it hard for the pump to keep up. Should some of these holes on the bottom be plugged? Am I trying to pump a stream since the holes are so low?? I think that must give the neighbors pump a good respite. The water in the pump crock is not from the drain tiles but from these perforated holes.

plumber saw the valve and said thats too big for a residential system (low pressure) so i replaced it. what happens if the valve is too big? one thing i know for sure is that valve never once had steam come out, whereas our other furnace has steam come out every so often.

I am wondering if it would be possible to mount an exterior heater that would use wood and would heat a home BUT by having it used outdoors you would elimate some of the ash and smoke that comes from using an indoor wood heater. I would not want to heat water ONLY the interior temp of the house.

You don't have a cellar, just a big ol' slab of concrete. I want to do this up here in the northeast, and people say I can't because of the winter or something. What's the explanation to all this?????????

I tied a piece of wire on the ground screw and then tied the tip of it to the white wire. The I screw white and black to the outlet. It tested PERFECT (two yellow lights!). That will pass the test for open ground. Is that ok? any consequences? Please comment.
