I know you have to prime over the spackle after it's sanded. Do you have to prime the entire wall or just the spots that were spackled? Also, if the rest of the wall is rolled, should the area that is to be primed & repainted be rolled or can you use a brush?

When I turn the water on there is a noise. It seems the pipes are vibrating. I'm trying to get someone out to take a look at it but in the interim, is it really dangerous to be using the faucet at all?

I have recently had a thermostatic mixer shower fitted. I have a combination boiler with adequate water pressure. When I use the shower the water is either absolutely boiling hot or if I try and regulate it, freezing cold. I cannot seem to get a happy ( and comfortable!) medium. Any ideas??

How can I fix my sharpie marker? Like a dope, I left it uncapped last night and now it's all dried up. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Or should I just go to Staples and get a new one?

Oxyfuel takes a long time to warm up the beam and the finish is awful.

Any suggestions to make this cut?

The beam is not under load, the cut is needed to make it fit in the room where it will be welded.

I bought a 5200 BTU Simplicity A/C(by danby) from Canadian tire. For the first 3 days it worked fine and it dripped a LOT. Then it began to make this sputtering noise, and stopped dripping. When I looked inside there was tons of water, but it was no longer dripping. The noise is loud, sputtering, rattling and the other people in my building are not amused. I've read other threads that say yes it should drip, others that say no it should not because it keeps the unit cool.I cannot see how this is possible because its so loud. We took the unit out of the window and tilted it really far back, and it SPILLED water from where the fins are. But its impossible to tilt the unit that much in the window. There are no other significant drain holes that I see. Please let me know your thoughts.
Its 45 with the humidex here today, help!

We are flipping a house and the panel box has those old screw in fuses. One electrician wanted $1750.00 to update to a new one and that is not really in our budget. Why can't we just take out the panel box and clamp all of the wires for the house to the big wires coming into the house? I could save a ton of profit and if the new owners preferred a new panel box they could have it installed later.

Our sink and mostly the garbage disposal has had kind of a rank smell lately. I thought I heard something once about using lemons but I'm not sure. Anyone have any home remedies they can share?

I went up there and to install a bath fan and it was ridiculously hot. There are currently grated vents at each end of the attic, and grated vents about every 10-15 feet under the gutters. There is also about 1 ft of blown in insulation. I was thinking of installing a gable fan connected to a thermostat. If I were to do this, at what temperature should I set the thermostat? And should the fan blow air inward or outward? I live in Louisville, KY.
