I have recently had a thermostatic mixer shower fitted. I have a combination boiler with adequate water pressure. When I use the shower the water is either absolutely boiling hot or if I try and regulate it, freezing cold. I cannot seem to get a happy ( and comfortable!) medium. Any ideas??

The shower valve could be plumbed in wrong. If the hot & cold feeds into the body are the wrong way around, the thermostat can't regulate the temperature properly. This could result in the symptoms you describe.

Sounds like something you paid for is not working properly.
