The wiring comes through a hole in the mirror. The previous fixture was too heavy they put it up with special tape but it gave way.

I'm going to install an outlet in my closet because I don't have any in there right now. I'm taking a straight shot up the wall into the attic and tapping into the hot side of the light switch that controls the attic light (so that the outlet is not dependant on the attic light being on). Any problem with that so far?

Will any 20 amp/125 volt receptacle be safe to use? The circuit breaker is 20 amps and I'm matching the 12/2 wire used in the attic light.

I'm asking because I didn't realize there were so many receptacles out there. Do all the new receptacles have the horizontal piece on one of the prongs now? I don't have any appliances like that. Excpet my dryer but that's 220.

Thank you.

The current fittnig is in a ceiling, and its horrible. I'd like to make it into a normal globe but the wiring inside looks pretty complex.

Best as far as overall value and easiest on the septic tank. I was recently told that White Cloud and several other brands took along time to break down, but what should I use instead and why?

I checked for a valve under the sink to see if it possibly wasn't open all the way but i did not see any valves. The cold water pressure is fine in the bathroom sink but hot water has been horrible since I moved in 7 months ago. Kitchen, and bathtub hot water pressure is just fine. The sink appeared to be newer if not brand new when I moved in. I live in the city, if that helps to know that I have city water and not well water. Please advise..I would love to be able to wash my hands with higher warm water pressure

Thanks in advance

I own an apartment building, and in only one unit I am seeing a lot of sweating on the toilet and aluminum windows(both on the glass and frame) It gets so bad that it puddles on the sill and runs down the wall, it is causing damage to both. There is no sign of leaking water or water getting in from outside or through the slab foundation. This unit is on the ground floor. The unit has an electric furnace. Any sudgestions to find the source of this problem would be appreciated.

Soft White MINI 60. Bulb blinks out and then emits smoke and strong smell of burning plastic. I have had two such failures in the past month in different lamps. Fortunately, I was present when the bulbs failed. Both were seldom used. These bulbs are rated at 8,000 hours. Anyone else experience this type of failure?

This is only when I flush and only around the one nut. Is it the seal of the nut or is it the seal from the tank to toliet. How can I tell?second, how can I make sure the toliet flange is not leaking as I'm not a expert with lining up the toliet. I don't want to be over my head in water.

Lately when I have been turning off the light in my bathroom, I flip the light switch and the light stays on! I have to toggle it a few times to get the lights to turn off. Does anyone know why this may be happening or what I can do about it? Thanks!

Motor runs fine when the door is disengaged from the link, but makes a loud ratcheting sound and will not move the door when engaged. Can anyone please help. Brand new $60K garage, part II. Started having serious humidity and ice build up (reside in cold climate -10 degrees below 0 today) in my brand new heated and insulated 26 X 30 garage. Ice formed on the wall interior between the ceilings and wall. Humidity was always running high in the garage etc. Called a building inspector out and he crawled over everything and found two problems. The builder never baffled off the insulation near the eve and the ridge vent was covered and blocked by insulation. The insulation had pushed up in many spots along the roof sheathing and therefore between this and the ridge vent being blocked, no airflow circulates through. The inspector wrote up the report and my builder said he would take care of it when he could!

1. My warranty of this garage is over in 45 days, so do I demand he finish it by then, or will he still be legally bound if he does not? To me warranty implies the structure was built right, this was not?

We are replacing one half of a wall with new drywall. The other half is painted with a glossy paint. My husband wants to skim coat the glossy paint. Will this work? Do we need to degloss or sand the glossy paint first?

I like the idea of replacing my indoor furnace and outdoor AC unit with a heat pump, but when I call AC companies for an estimate, everyone recommends against it. They say it won't be as efficient. Why not?

So far just blotted it with a cold water soaked towel. It faded a bit but some still remains. Please help with any ideas.
