So far just blotted it with a cold water soaked towel. It faded a bit but some still remains. Please help with any ideas.

Hydrogen peroxide works at taking out any old and new blood stains, just pour a little on, and blot it off.

I'd use cold water and a mild dish soap. Don't soak the spot. Use a damp cloth to blot the soap on and then use a dry cloth to remove it.

Tilex Mold and Mildew remover it really works and the Magic Eraser... they really work like magic!! The Dawn Foam is also supposed to cut down on your water usage, which can change everybody's life... in a perfect world.

oxyclean, the oxygen based cleaners and cold water, it will "eat" anything like blood, puppy pee, throw up, stuff like that. Good luck,

use either salt and cold water, or spot test for color fast, but hydrogen peroxide definitely works.

Club soda works very well to remove just about any spill.
