These are outdoor chairs, like director chairs, so I can*t take the canvas off and make new ones. The canvas is very sturdy, but got black mildew all over from getting wet and standing on a back porch. Would spray paint work, (after removing the mildew of course)

I just purchased a house that is new construction. Some people are telling me not to paint for the first year because the place needs to settle and there may be cracks. Others are telling me to go ahead and paint. Any advice on what I should do?

We are buying our first home and are not sure what, if anything ,we should just deal with. There are some little things that we are not sure if we shoudl hassle about such as two small dents at the very bottom of the garage door or nicks in the door jams or chips in tile. Is it reasonable for us to request them to fix every little imperfection?

I was wondering, if my grandmother could have a couple of her friends come over and take a furnace out and put a new one in without having to hire out contractors?

It's an easy switch to throw but I can never remember if the air should be blowing down for summer (to keep the hot air from building at the top?) or blowing up (to bring cooler air up and circulated?)

The house might not be in liveable conditions. I cleaned the house and left it in better condition than when we moved in. The electrical wiring in the house is real bad. Landlord says, "the wires in the house are real old and we would have to tear the house apart to fix." We haven't taken pictures. They are lying about things that are wrong with the house to get more money back.

Our well water comes out of the faucet blueIsh in color and leaves stains on our tubs and toilets. I am curious what would cause it. The water has been tested and it is within safety standards.
