Go to the nearest garden center or farm type supply store and purchase a plastic OWL. place the owl near you pool deck on a post or railing. some even come with a line for hanging in a tree or line. Birds won't be come to any pool parties you have when "AL the OWL is on duty! change Al's perching view and move him once and a while to keep the bird guessing if Al is real or not. good luck! P.S. cant find in Al in stores, check garden suppliers on line.

Get a plastic owl. I had the same problem with pigeons, and put a plastic owl on my roof peak, no more problem. Try your local hardware store. Mine has a motion sensor so the eyes light up and it hoots when a bird flies by. No need to go that extravagant, I just thought it was cool.

you can tie a thin string (or a few) across your deck (over head). For some reason birds stay away. They do that at resorts to get birds to syat away from the pool an pool deck area.

Purchase a chicken suit at the local party store and where it when your on your deck. The smaller birds will stay away from larger birds they will think you are a predator.

Put finger nail polish remover in a bowl. Soak your fingers for about 20 to 30 minutes. The nails should pull off easily without damage to your nail.

Dito on the owl idea. Other birds stay far away from owls, so they never get close enough to tell if it is real or not.

Get a bird feeder, and when they come to eat, open the garage door where you have placed the 100 adopted pound cats that you haven't fed in a week. ;)
