See if your local pool store can find some "Scale-B-Gone". I hate the name, but love the product. Be careful with it, though. It bites! Paint it on- it's a gel- and let it sit about 10 minutes. Then rinse it off. CAUTION: use ONLY on pool tile. It will burn holes in anything else. After you get rid of the buildup, clean the tile weekly with comet to avoid this problem in the future.

There are a few products that remove mineral buildup from tubs and other bathroom fixtures. I'd try your local home supply store in the plumbing section.

You also should look into conditioning your water as a prevention measure once you get it clean.

Have you tried Mr. Clean Magic Erasers? I use them on both pool and hot tub and they work..... well....... LIKE MAGIC.

Give em a try, can buy them for 1 dollar at discount stores and certainly the best cleaning product i've found for water lines.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser truly erases everything!!!...but try Head and Hammer Baking Soda Powder-it's inexpensive....if all fails- you gotta scrub like crazy, though.
