ever did b4. I don't like weed killers because they kill my garden. What can I do short of pulling them, placing yard fabric down, and putting mulch over? They should come with a warning...those and freeway daisies (osteospermums). Watch out for those too. Sperm is in their name for a reason. They proliferate like rabbits.

I just got a Staghorn Fern from Target this week, it's a small one but it came planted in dirt, I have been reading that they need to be planted in moss, I would like to put it in a hanging metal basket, should I just fill the whole basket with moss and set the plant in there or what? Should I remove the dirt it's in? Please help I don't want to kill it. Thanx

I ask this because many decades ago, my mother used to have HBMG's that came back year after year. I cannot find perennial seeds - only annual seeds. But last fall, my husband ordered 'fill' dirt for his new berry plots...and we have growing from that- Hevenly Blues! Could these be the perennnial type that sprouted from the seeds that were in the dirt from who knows where.
Thanks everyone for your help!!

I am looking for two different trees. A small tree, 10-20'for a 5x7' planting area between sidewalk and small wall.Evergreen, with flowers or without flowers, not messy.
A dwarf tree, 6-10' for a 3X3 area. Thin trunk, evergreen with some color.Branches to start at 3 or 4'.
I have seen some trees that I like but they are deciduous, Dwarf peach tree, Forest pansy...
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you vey much

I bought Sheila in mid-May from Home Depot. I have kept her very well-watered and she has so far grown about two feet, making her somewhere around 7 feet tall. I plan to fertilize her within the next week or so. Will my peach tree bloom next spring and produce fruit?

My lawn is being taken over by weeds (Weeds now cover nearly 25%). I also have a few small patches where the grass is dead. What can I do in the fall to kill the weeds fix the holes and help the grass?

Preferably with minimal effort and without spending a lot.
