I live in NE Ohio and have a vegetable garden. I have seen triangle shaped, light green bugs feeding on the leaves of my green beans. I don't want to loose any of my crop so I have used Sevin powder on my whole garden. Is this enough or do I need something else?

OK...My husband and I are re-doing out backyard. We removed 17...yes 17 over grown shrubs, and tilled the backyard. Now we need to get some new dirt, level it out and lay seed. The problem is that we keep ketting major weeds EVERYWHERE back there. What can I do do prevent them from coming up when we lay the seed? I have a 2 year old son and want to be able to play with him back there but there are just too many picky weeds. I was going to get Weed and Feed, but the bag said not to use it unless the lawn is 2 months old or more. Is there anything I can mix with th seed to get a nice grassy yard with no weeds?

I live in a condominimum complex and there are a lot of tall, beautiful oak trees around. Recently, a treecutter crew came by removing some lower branches off the trees, making them look "empty" and now you can see much more trunk then before. It's much uglier in my opinion.

Why did they remove those branches? They didn't seem to block anything or overhang anything they weren't dangereous branches at all!

I have a dog and cat in my house and yesterday found several small brown dead worms on our carpet. I even found a live one this morning (which was happily swimming in our loo when i tried to get rid of him). All the animal worm pics i have seen don't match these worms - they are small and thin and brown not white at all and not very long. The other odd thing is that they are usually found near a large pot plant in my living room. They are not garden worms but i don't know if they are coming from my pets or my plant? The soil in the pot has loads of little gnats living in it - could it be to do with that? I really need some advice as i have a 2yr old daughter and am heavily preg - don't want us to get worms! (I'm getting animals wormed today just in case).

I need to know plants/flowers that symbolize great friendship, loyalty, trust, devotion, support, love, that sort of thing. I'm creating paintings for my best girlfriends, and I want the silhouette of a special plant to be the subject. Please don't guess, if you don't know, though. Thanks for your help.

I bought some Oleander about two years ago and the first year it did great. The second year it didnt even come out of the ground and this the third year it is about 3 feet tall with only 2 shoots showing. No blooms as of yet but the Live Nursery Specialist at my local Lowes says it should bloom by the end of the summer. Does anyone have any Oleander blooming in zone 7 yet that has not been planted this season?

I am only 7wks 4days pregnant, so I don't really see a problem with it yet, but my family jumped my case today for mowing the yard, raking and doing some weed pulling. (BTW, I'm 25, happily married and I live on my own, just FYI)
It was pretty hot today, in the 90's, but I stayed hydrated and used gloves when pulling weeds, making sure to wash really well afterwards to prevent contact with possible toxoplasmosis. They say this is too much for a pregnant woman even if she is only in her first trimester. I plan on hiring someone to do the yardwork for me since my husband is deployed and unable to do it himself, lol, but today was a down to the wire thing. The place I live does yard inspections so I have to have my lawn cut, edged and all the flowerbeds weeded or I get a citation.
I was really tired afterwards, mostly because I was also chasing my toddler around during all this, but it was nothing a nap couldn't fix. So is my family right? Or am I fine as long as I don't feel strained
