I planted zucchini and cucumbers really close to each other, and the zucchinis look weird. They have a hook on them. The cukes look kind of funny too, like large hooked dill pickles. I did this one year with different melons and squash and got a bunch of unedible weird looking crap. HELP!!!

In early spring, I transplanted 3 wild roses from my road to my garden. Most of there leaves fell off, the plant looked un waterered, dead, but I took good care of it and it made a great recovery, all the leaves are finally back. I took 12 more wild roses and made there own flower bed for them. Most of the leaves are already crackly, and falling off. I transplanted them about 2 weeks ago. I suspect that most of the leaves will probably fall off anyway, and I think 2 of the wild roses might die, because almost all of there leaves are fallen. Some new leaves are finally starting to grow, and they are a nice green colour. I know they won't bloom this year, but next year, when, and for long will they bloom? They are about a foot to 2 feet tall, and the ones on the road have been blooming for about a month, but there arn't very many blooms because no body dead heads or trims them. Thanks:) And one last thing, I have sweet peas, and are about 5-8 inches tall. When will they bloom? Thanks.

This goes beyond the normal nastiness on their part. 5 kids next door think they are entitled to use my property, and the parents say it's my fault for buying the house- since I knew they had kids. ??? These are NOT postage stamp size lots. (over 1/3 acre each) The last straw was a basketball hoop they knowingly put on my property. I had the property staked, but it's time for a fence. Too much aggravation to list it here

I planted fifty tulip bulbs in my garden last fall. They blossomed beautifully this Spring. I planned to pull the bulbs up again this fall, split them, and replant. The problems is that weeds have overtaken the garden so badly that I would have trouble finding the tulips. Any suggested strategies?

Okay. Here's the scoop. My hubby and I planted a small veggie garden this year. We have a few tomato plants, beans, garlic, peas, and peppers. They are all flourishing and will be getting veggies that are ready to pick in the next couple days.

Here's my question. I would really like to can the tomatoes and peppers by making salsa with them. Or even spagetti sauce. I do not have a canner but I've seen people can without putting their jars in hot water. Does anyone know the process of doing this?

Also, and good salsa or spagetti sauce recipes? Thanks so much!!!

I found out that less water makes my tomatoe plant wilted, and looks like it was dying, desperately......

I asked before about maybe if I was overwatering, but the answers here have proven to me that I am not watering enough......I gets over 110 here in summer, I watered less and there were so many yellow wilted branches by the next day that I pruned early, but now will try watering more.

Question, though, my first few tomatoes were cracked, will the rest of them look like that or is this just how they grow? The supermarkets always have round ones......my first few were cracked, lumpy looking, etc, do they choose which ones are for sale? Is it ok to eat mine? I didn't, since they didn't look like what I bought in the store....I planted it and hopefully have another tomatoe plant now......so far only weeds, but hopefully......

My backyard is being invaded with red wasps.....they are everywhere, and they even chase the hummingbirds away from the feeders. I have not located a nest.
Is there a way to get rid of them?
