How much does it cost to have a 40ft tree cut in U.K.?

I want to have a trimmer cut some branches of our tree which is now at least 20 to 40ft. high..Please quote including cleaning the logs and the area. Their are 3 trees

Depends on the type of tree, and the area that you live.
Conifers are cheapest to do.
I've been quoted 700 to fell a single (but very large) overhanging sycamore branch and clear away.

It depends on how easy the job is. Expect to pay around £35 per man per hour ie a job taking 3 men 2 hours will cost £210.

Please ensure that the contractor has at least £5,000,000 public liability insurance (ask for proof). There are many cowboy tree surgeons out there who do dangerous work.
All tree surgeons should carry out the work to BS 3998
The good ones are members of TICA which is the professional body covering this industry. It should be printed on their letter heading.

wow thats some size tree u got there, my neighbour just had a 30ft conifer cut down and it cost her £200 and that was done cheap because it was someone she knew who has his own landscaping company!! good luck.
