I took some cuttings in Feb, of an outdoor grape vine (wine grapes) which has been established for many years in Wiltshire.
They are now growing quite well, but I don't want to put them out too early.

It is a young plant, almost two years old, and has 4 pairs of leaves. The newest leaves have not developed the purple color, but the other leaves and the stem of the plant have a slight purple hue. This happened very suddenly - in one day. I'm concerned about soil conditions, pot size, light, temperature (I'm from Newfoundland and up until now had my room thermostat turned off), my watering practises, or disease. I have not changed the soil/pot for almost the duration of the plant's life span. I water it every couple days (sufficient drainage). It is placed about 2 meters away from a southeast-facing window. Thanks for any insight. :)

I've heard that one can use copper rods as an effective deterrent for slugs and snails. This sounds like a good non pesticide option.Has anyone heard of/used these successfully and are they freely available?

I put the black weed blocking material down thouroghly and then mulched deeply. I keep spraying these things with Round-up and it doesnt even bother them. How can they grow through the wedd material? I was sure to cover all holes before mulching. Any Ideas? I cant pull them up or dig them up or I will tear the material.

Or, better yet, how do I treat cuttings--hardwood, softwood? Anyone out there had much success? I can't find this stuff at any nursery.

My neighbors have this sandy looking stuff on patches of their lawns. I looked it up, and I'm wondering if they're using green sand. Anyone know anything about this? If it's a lawn secret, I want in on it!

OK so I have 2 peace lilies that have serious troubles. They were being attaked by my puppies!
I have them in a new (HIGHER) home now but they look pitiful. The puppies ate almost all of the leaves.
The peace lilies are VERY important to me (I recieved them after my granfathers passing) so I really want to save them.
I just repotted/seperated them about a week ago and they were in the bathroom getting soaked and Hubby put them in the floor and the dogs attaked them.

My main question, I guess, is do I remove the chewed up leaves with scissors and just let it try to survive or what do I need to do?

Any help will be appreciated!
