Maybe they were in some potting soil of a potted plant.

There ia always some nature around: grassy areas, trees, potted plants etc. It doesnt take much to get snails going. One snail can make hundreds of baby snails. They are excellent climbers. They just kind of slime their way up. Snails are everywhere. Just go outside and turn over a rock..snails.

those dirty creatures can crawl anywhere and everywhere.Iam sick seeing them in my garden pots

they are probably tecked in while small on someones shoes!or on their pants legs!
