I took some cuttings in Feb, of an outdoor grape vine (wine grapes) which has been established for many years in Wiltshire.
They are now growing quite well, but I don't want to put them out too early.

I don't think the roots will have formed strongly enough to transplant them after only 4 weeks

Where you live you can plant them now. I would not expect much this year though. A good mature grape vine can grow a root 25 feet deep.

I think once the shoots reach about 300mm, there should be a good enough root to transplant them safely either outside or potting on. As the others said wait till the frost danger is over before putting them outside

You need to put any plants out after any late frosts.

Another thing you need to do is to plant a rose next to the vine, this way when the rose gets mildew, black spot, rust or aphids you will be able to see the diseas that you need to spray the vine and the rose for.

you want some sphagnum moss, cellophane, and twist ties. Take a damp wad of sphagnum moss about the dimensions of an egg, and and mildew it round a limb of the (turning out to be) vine. Wrap the cellophane round it a number of circumstances to lead away from water loss by evaporation, and use the twist ties to take care of the plastic to the dep. on both area of the moss wad. Roots will grow to be the moss, and also you will discover them by the cellophane. basically shrink off the recent vine with roots already turning out to be, and plant it. My Dad used to attempt this, and it truthfully works. It takes some weeks inspite of the actuality that.
