i have been told that the garden is infested with crane fly lava, will i ever have a lawn again, be it from turf or seed, or is this now a thankless task??? I am quite near a stream, heard this doesn't help, would i be better with a patio of decking??

I have two beautiful river birches in our front landscaping, and I'd like to plant something low in front of them, preferrably with color. I don't want to distract from the bark though, so nothing flashy. I've tried rose shrubs, and Knockout Roses, both of which didn't make it. Any ideas? OH - we also have bunnies nearby who eat everything in sight. Thanks!

Poppy seeds are found in muffins and other things. Just wondering if you can plant those and get opium.

I am not a savvy gardener, so it would have to be something simple that can thrive in some shade. I live in New England. Thanks!

I want to pot some flowers for my front porch. Unfortunatly I did not inharite the green thumb from my father. My first attempt at this failed myserioubly. So, I need some help and advice. Something simple, yet pretty and colorful. Step by step instructions would be great but please don't feel obligated. I talked to the garden people at Lowe's when I made my first attempt and obviously what they told me didn't work out. So please, HELP!!!!!!!!

I can't figure out what kind of tree this is in my yard.. I live in the southeast US and my tree blooms beautifully in the spring with hundreds of beautiful pink flowers, about palm-size... the tree is about medium size.
