I live in Tallahassee, FL and it has been unusually warm this winter. Some of my daffodils are starting to come up, and they will certainly freeze before spring because it definitely will get colder! Does anyone have any advice to protect them and/or to keep the rest from coming up?

Also if anyone knows anything about irises, this is the first year I've planted them, and they are all coming up too. But I don't know if this is normal or not?

Thanks!

I have a small dwarf Mexican Lime Tree and the leaves are falling off? What could be the problem? I water it once a week and give fertilizer to it about once a month? The tree I have is about 8 months old and is about 3 feet tall but has been losing about 1-3 leaves a day...is that normal? Also any ideas to get it to grow faster? Any special type of fertilizer anyone has used that works better than others for citrus trees? PLEASE no Mexican jokes..I have had enough of them!

We're planning a large garden arbor next year for our house, and we want something that will climb over it, as quickly as possible, yet remain green in the winter.

Something that flowers would be excellent as well.

Why? What pests do you intend to kill?

Or are you killing the weeds and encouraging grass to grow?

Do you fertrilise your lawn?

Do you hate dandelions? What about daisies and wax-caps?

I want to put a brick edge around my lawn but it is going to cost a fortune! The small decking area I had in mind will cost over £60...why is creativity so expensive!

I know it's not really a question but I just want to vent my frustration!

Hey, It's winter here in Toronto. It's really cold in the solarium (solarium is in the apartment). I have been keeping my birds in my sister's room but she's getting mad so now I have to put it in my room since there is no more big spaces in the apartment.|||| How do I make it warmer in the solarium (28 degree celcius) without doing anything to the surrounding walls?||||| Also, I need a cheap way!

The ants have taken over to such an extent that the grass is dying and the ground is becoming sandy. Is there an inexpensive treatment or maybe any home remedies you know of?
