Stick some windmills in the ground; the moles don't like the vibrations that the windmills make.

Good Question!! Some "pest authorities" say the ONLY way to get rid of moles is mole traps that stab them to death.

I've read dozens of supposed cures for moles - most don't work!

There is an organic product that makes a spray that the moles simply don't like the smell of and will ward them off fairly well -- until it rains or the stuff wears off. Not toxic, won't harm pets or kids or grass or flowers. The only place I know that sells it is Gardens Alive (www.gardensalive.com) I've tried it with fair success.

Moles eat grubs not lawns so get rid of the grubs. There are insecticides you apply at specific times of the year depending on your area, check with your local county extension agent for the best time in your area. You will need to keep your dogs away when treating the yard only until the insecticide dries.

If your dog won't destroy them, put small fans on a stick in the ground, the vibration will run the moles away. Traps are also available along with poision peanuts put into the runs. There are also gas bombs. If your worried about the dog, the fans are the safest for the dog.

Find a natural predator and release it into your backyard. Keep your dog inside until the threat is vanquished. Remove the predator variable.
