1. Mix a bottle of Lemon Juice (Fresh and Sour, NOT lemonade) with two cups of chili pepper powder.
2. Pour the solution into the said ant hill/hole, or pour it around the ant hill/hole.
3. Wait a few days or so, less than a week. After a few days, the ants will have either all died or left your household, and will not come back for at least a year.
Why this happens:
The sweet citrus smell from the lemon juice covers the chili pepper powder, and when the ants come out to take the meal back to inside of there home, the chili pepper begins to poison the fungi that they grow to feed to their queen. Mind you, the 'poison' is only poisonous to ants, not humans- But please don't try to eat chili pepper powder raw. Anyways, the ants can't distinguish that the chili pepper is poisonous to their queen, or to themselves because it smells sweet and like their usual food.
When they keep on feeding the queen the 'poisoned' fungi, the queen eventually dies from the 'food-poisoning' and the queen-less worker ants either flee of die.

Talcom powder sprinkled in the area will work. Also equal parts of 20 mule team Borax laundry detergent and white sugar spread in the area will do it. They are attracted to the sugar and carry the mixture back to their home and it will kill them.

watching "The Gardening guy", he noted utilising break of day and water in a sprig bottle. tried it and it works. i take advantage of pots of break of day and boiling water to kill ant beds. I shop a sprig bottle of break of day and water mixed for bugs, ants, wasps, bees, etc. It would not artwork for me for roaches. the blend is two tablespoons break of day to a minimum of one bottle (any length) of warmth water. The smaller the bottle, the better the blend.

Try spreading grits around the anthill. The grits will explode their stomachs when they consume water. I've tried it before and it does work.
