Would this work doing a cutting from a branch from any kind of tree or bush? ------ When sticking the cutting into the soil, does the soil have to be very moist at all times to get the roots to form and does the soil have to be warmed up some how for it to work better? ------ I'm sooo sooo curious!

My home used to be filled with beautiful plants. I wasn't sure which were poisonous or not, so when my kids (aged 3 and 2) came along, I got rid of them all. Boy, do I miss them!

Can anyone recommend some beautiful non-toxic houseplants that I might try?

There is an area in my backyard that gets extremely soggy with wet weather. I was told if I planted some trees back there it would help to suck up some of the moisture in the ground. Is this true & if so what kind of trees can I plant. I live in Tennessee.

ok my dad is crazy, he puts everthing everywhere in the backyard, he is one of those guy who never throw away anything, so he places rocks, wood, tires, old broken dishwasher, old broken washing machine, and plants trees and flowers everywhere, in the backyard, it looks like crazy person lives here, he thinks he did a good job, I can fix it by removing the trash and re do the landscape, but he does not let me throw away his trash, and he likes the badly placed plants the way they are, so I can't move those, I go insane just looking at it, I know the neighbors do too, he makes it worse day by day, anyone got any ideals?

my green beans started bubbling up out of the jar just a week after I canned them, I thought where I left them in the garage it got too hot on them. The ones that where in the basement didn't bubble but they smell terrible! I have no clue what I done wrong. I spent alot of time and money (on jars, lids and rings)on over 3 bushels of green beans and my heart is broken. Someone tell me what went wrong so I won't go through this again next summer. This is the first time this has happened in over ten years of canning.

I have spider mites on my jade, rubber plant and african violet. I have rinsed the jade and rubber off in the shower a couple of times to try to get rid of them, but they are still infested. Do the sprays with insecticidal soap and pyrethrin actually work?
