There are 43,560 square feet in an acre.

Since we're talking square feet or area there are no constraints on the shape of the surface. That is, the surface need not be a square, nor a rectangle; it could be a triangular surface or trapezoidal. (The idea of a square 70 yards or 210 feet on a side is a fairly good approximation of an acre of area; the error provoked is less than 2%, so I tend to remember that and only dig out the exact area (43560 sq ft) if I feel it's warranted.)

210 feet x 210 feet will give you the square feet in an acre.

43560 sq. ft.- 210x210 will not help you. the formula is 208.71x208.71, then round it off . (208.71 squared)
