Or do you have to be a complete idiot for that to happen? My air purifier broke twice and an electrician told us someone wired the outlet that way.

I have several used wood pallets in various sizes.
I would like to know where I can go in my area to sell them.
I know of a place in South Bay but I no longer live near there.
I live East of Orlando in Brevard County. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help :-)

i took a light fixture down the other day and there was no junction box in the ceiling. The light fixture was simply screwed into the drywall. and the wires were hanging out of a small hole in the drywall. if i put a new light fixture can i just use longer screws and screw it into the wood on top of the drywall?

I am planning ahead for next Christmas. I have about 15 spotlights on my decorations. I want to change, to save electricity. I already have the fixtures and power cords, I only set it up for a month. Can anyone tell me how much difference there would be between switching to flurorescent bulbs or using a low voltage system?

I'm starting a business in Va. making wood patio furniture. I have a number of designs and want opinions on how popular you think this would be. These projects would be of the pre made style that you put together yourself, shiped as a diy project complete with Instructions, parts & pictures for east assembly. Can also provide product in any color you want. Will post pictures at a future date.

I need to glue together pieces of floral foam for a molding project. I need to have these pieces glued together firmly. Previously, I've tried using hot glue (from a glue gun), yes the pieces stick, but you can break everything apart with a nudge of a finger. Please help!

I know it depends on the plans so I'm thinking 9' ceilings a 6 on 12 pitched roof and brick on the exterior. Around 2400 sq. foot. I am gonna be building one for my parents, I'll be doing the Framing, Drywall, Painting, Trim work, Setting the doors, windows and various other fixtures around the house. Just wondering how much money I can save them. So I need to know what a contractor would charge them to do it. Thanks in advance.

I asked this question a few months ago and I've finally gotten around to seriously tackling this. I want to add an outdoor patio sink and use the galvinized iron cleanout pipe as the drain. I can remove the plug which is male threaded. Can I simply thread on an ABS pipe without any sort of special coupling or anything? I think I'll have to use teflon tape but I figure drain lines aren't high pressure so it should be OK, right? Of course, I'll add an appropriate cleanout plug in the ABS run.

I'm refinishing the top of an old library table. Ideally, I really should re-laminiate it (and probably will at some point in the future) For now, I just want to sand it, stain it, and do a hand-waxed finish. I realize that it will not have a "bar top" finish (ie will not be "water proof") but I don't think that this will be an issue. What options do I have for this type of finish. I'm open to advice and recommendation, pros and cons, etc. from woodworking professionals and experienced amatures. Thanks for the assistance.

We are planning on moving to the Lehigh Valley next year and I'm noticing that most homes have electric stoves. Here in So. California, we've only used natural gas and we really prefer it over electric.

Is it expensive to replace an electric stove with a gas one, using propane, and is the conversion to a propane supply for a stove easy to do? Is it easy enough to be done by a homeowner or does a plumber have to do it, and if a plumber comes out to install the propane tank, does he do the whole job (from the tank to the kitchen), or do we need to get another installer for that part of the job?

It seems like when we buy a home in PA, we will most likely be getting an electric stove with it, but we would definitely be changing it out to gas.

Thanks for any information you can provide on this. It will be greatly appreciated.

The lights are already installed (via a standard "hard wiring")and are activated by a standard on off switch. I would love to know if there is a device that exists that would be able to turn on and off the light either by solar activation or by a timer.

Thank You.

I'm looking to put a small staircase (3 feet high) from my garage to my raised doorway to the house. Problem is, my garage floor slopes away from the house a bit (1 inch pitch over three feet distance from house wall)

What's the most professional way to build stairs? Should I level the whole floor area? Just shim the outer (lower) stringer/riser, or plane the inner (upper) stringer.

I would like to do it the best way possible, not the easiest way...thanks in advance!
