I need to glue together pieces of floral foam for a molding project. I need to have these pieces glued together firmly. Previously, I've tried using hot glue (from a glue gun), yes the pieces stick, but you can break everything apart with a nudge of a finger. Please help!

Try contact cement. Spread a thin coat on the mating faces you wish to loin together, allow it to get sticky, then join them together. I think that's how the florists do it.

Try silicone caulk...apply to both pieces and press together and give 1/4 turn...let dry.
