"Burst" - Do you mean that literally - the ceramics cracked apart and split all over the place?

If so, you must first clean the mess out of the drain where it has lodged. The purchase as many new toilets as necessary to replace the broken ones and follow instructions to install. It is not that complicated because they are standard and you can easily mount it in the same place as original. You must get a new wax ring. You will be able to see where this goes when you clean up the mess and remove the base from the floor.

If you mean overflor onto the floors and such - again the first thing is to get a worm or roto-rooter and clear the drain of whatever materials are stuck inside. Then wash everything down using a strong solution of detergent in hot water. Use Laundry or kitchen detergent mixed with clorox to sanitize the area after a thorough washing.

You can snake a toilet without removing it, its called a toilet auger its about maybe 4 to 5 feet about $15 simple to us it has a long colar with a handle and the auger line running throught the colar you pick up the handle to where you only have the colar with a rubber end place that inside the whole then push down and rotate the handle the toilet has curves built into it to prevent sewer gases from flowing out the toilet so just push it down and turn it while slowly pressuring it down this will clear anything in the toilet anything else would be in the main line unless you have exsperience with a power auger i wouldnt waste the money on doing it yourself can be a nasty and smelly job call someone instead and save the 50 bucks atleast it would cost on renting one.

remove the toilet then use a snake to try and get the clog out of it if you can reach it but sounds like the clog is close to the toilet just have to buy a new bees wax seal and remove the water line coming into the back of the toilet then remove the two lag bolts holding the tiolet down the pull up the toilet and clean the clog then reverse the process

Put some gloves on and scoop out the chit with your hands and place it in a wal-mart bag and discard it in your yard, that way everyone thinks you have a large dog.

This sounds a real huge problem. I would bite the bullet and hire someone. It sounds like it will be well worth the money in this case.
