I recently purch. a 120 yr old concrete block building with tin roof. It has no insulation but it does have a ceiling seperating the roof from the rooms below. I am a screenprinter and I do run a "dryer" to cure my shirts but when its not on, I would like the temp to be alot cooler inside. We are looking at putting A/C in but also wanted to know what steps we could take to cool down the place. We already use window fans but that doesn't seem to work very well. I looked at using a "whole house fan" and some attic fans to cool down the place...any advice?

Thanks for your time

My partner has bought a second hand digger bucket for his digger but it has a layer of concrete in it other than bashing it with a hammer how can he get it off. I thought maybe lighting a fire in it might make it easier ??? it is 5ft wide so fairly big.

I want to insulate a bare concrete floor which may be subject to some moisture and I am using ceramic tiles on top. I am not using underfloor heating in this project. I would like to use Marmox (tile backer board) but the commercial boards I've seen are too thick (6mm). I can use Depron as that comes in 2mm and 3mm but it doesn't say it has an application for ceramic tiled floors. Any thoughts on whether Depron would be a workable and how to apply it?

Any websites or any type of video is more then recommended. The pump doesn't have to be fancy but has to achieve its overall function be able to pump liquid from one container and put into another. The material I am trying to transfer from one container to another is corrosive, and i do not want to spill any on my hands or clothes. Any tips and/or ideas will be more then helpful and if a visual is available it will be better. Thank you for reading my question and hope to hear from you soon

I was told to sand the wood and sweep up. Then to add Kilz2 latex primer as a wood undercoater to seal and prime woodwork. My floor is uneven so I was told to add after the Kilz, Henry 547 Unipro a universal patch and skimcoating. For the surfaces prior to the installing of the self-adhesive tile. I would like to know if these are the correct ways of preparing my floor.

I'm gonna be helping my Mom take down the old, out-dated wallpaper in the bathroom. We'll be painting the wall afterward so I don't want to damage the surface. What's a good, not costly way to do it? Please help me get rid of that amazingly bad wallpaper!

I am mounting wood animal shapes to a wooden swing-set. Instead of using the traditional wood dowels I am using bolts, heads removed of course, for added strength. I need to know what adhesive to use. Thank you.

Can I build it in stages?
So when finances permit me to do the next step, can I build over 5 or 10 years?
Example:
Say I have the money to Buy the block of Land today.
Ok I am building a Duplex - so 6 months later, I have the money to poor the slab for both sides of the Duplex. It then might take me 2 years to build the walls out of zego walls, then it might take me another 6months to build the roof, then another 2 years to Buy a Kitchen and Bathroom, then 1 more year to Finish the one side of this duplex.

OK now after I finish the one side of the duplex, It takes me 12 months to start the whole process again with the other side, in the same order and remember it is on the other side of the wall!!!

Land is in Bunderberg Qld
