mailboxes. Well, the post on ours is moving back and forth and it won't be long before it falls. How can I fix this? I can't see down in the other two posts that are secure so I don't know what they have that I don't.

Buy a back of quik crete. Pull the mailbox out and dig a slightly bigger hole, fill with the made up concrete, and return mailbox post. You will need to stake or somehow stabilize the post until the concrete is dry.

Remove it and see if it is rotted. If so, replace it. If not, as suggested, use quik-crete to support it in place. May just need to have the hole dug deeper.

check the required specs...my bro-in-law got a new box and it was on a county road so he couldn;t use it. otherwise you need to put the post in concrete.... easiest way is to dig hole with post hole digger, put post in there and line it up, the put concrete in it....

Just take out your post and replace with one of those Rubbermaid ones that never rot away....
