My partner has bought a second hand digger bucket for his digger but it has a layer of concrete in it other than bashing it with a hammer how can he get it off. I thought maybe lighting a fire in it might make it easier ??? it is 5ft wide so fairly big.

Why clean it? It's only going to get dirty again! The concrete can only be removed by mechanical means, and if it stuck fast then it won't come off and contaminate any material he's working with. If he wants a clean bucket, buy a new one.

with the bucket attached to the machine take it and hit it on the ground a few times this shouldn't hurt the bucket or try opening the bucket all the way then closing it just a little then opening it again very fast

kango with chisel is the best tool , or hammer and chisel depending on the amount of concrete.
also if its small lumps turn the bucket upside down and whack it with a lump hammer or sledge hammer depending on the amount obviously

I would give it a good soak with a hose and try using a scraper and hammer when it has softened.

ain't gonna happen,getting it too hot could ruin the temper and strenth of the bucket,bad idea,start pounding,sorry

he could try brick acid that may break down a bit, other than that hammer and chisle I'm afraid
