I have a small apartment that was converted from a garage. It's very drafty around the doors and windows. I'm no handman (woman) so I'd like to know some easy and relatively inexpensive ways I can make my apartment less of an energy hog this winter.

I live in phoenix, az and I'm looking to make improvements on my new house. I'm a drafter and could technically draw the house from scratch but I'm willing to pay to save myself time.

I want to not go through the expense and mess of tearing out the old plaster. Some of the plaster has backer board and some has the lattice backing.

I am building new horse stalls in width and length of 12 ft. (12x12). How high should the walls be? For the front (where it is only wood half way up) how high should the cut off be, where I will be putting the part they can see out? Also, I am building these from scratch. So I am using 2x12 . Where can I get the metal from to case in the wood edges and put up those bars? THanks!

I have tried several store bought "cleaners/polishers", but none seem to give my floors the shine that I want. I want a bright glossy shine rather than dull looking floors. Thanks.

I'm looking to build a smaller colonial house in Maine. But I have no idea where to start. I do have the land (2.5 acres) on paved road and in the country 20 min from town.
Any ideas? I need everything from permits to how to install the HVAC. Thanx

I have metal awnings covering my all my windows, front and back doors, I would like to paint them a brighter color. I'm kinda skeptical because my neighbor did his and it looks too tacky, almost like he used interior paint or something. Mine are in good shape they just have a funky old color. I need some curb appeal.

Hi, I have finally decided to go for the Dewalt DC984 cordless drill/driver. Just need a few comments from people who have this model only. Anything regarding power, reliablity, speed, battery life will be useful before I part with my hard earned cash! Many Thanks.

I recently was given a mobile (for her cot - not a telephone) for my one month old baby. Rather stupidly I did not read the instructions before putting the thing together and have some how put one section in the wrong way round. I now need to unscrew part of the mobile so I can put it back together correctly.

However the toy makers have very kindly used a triangle headed screw which is impossible to remove using normal screw drivers.

If anyone knows where i can get a screwdriver which will work on the this screw it would be much appreciated.

I just got an antiuque dresser from a yard sale. When I got it home I sprayed all the drawers down with antibacterial Febreeze. But it still smells musty, and it's making me sneeze. There are no visible signs of mold. Thanks!
