We've recently refurbished our bathroom and have been shopping for new accessories. Ignoring the cheap & nasty, all the manufacturers of good quality toothbrush/mug holders have heavy glass tumblers in them. If you happen to drop one of these into a ceramic washbasin because your hands are wet I would have thought it quite likely that damage would ensue to one or even both items.
Has anyone out there dropped one of these heavy glass tumblers into a washbasin? What happened?
With todays modern plastics you'd think they could provide high quality lightweight tumblers in their products.

not sure if this is the right place or not but...,

i recently purchased a duplicate of a very used book that I have and want to turn that used book into a place to hold my money.

my question is this - what is the easiest way to go about doing this? I've heard to glue every single page together (in 2 groups)and then cut out the middle of the bottom half to put money in.

Is there an easier way of doing this?

If this is the wrong place - will you let me know of a better place?

I made the mistake of asking about hot water heaters and got an answer that hot water doesn't need to be heated. lol So I was wondering if anybody could answer this question that I have a habit of saying a lot. ha ha.

We're thinking about getting one for our house. Are they worth the money and do they last as good as the traditional water heaters?

A friend of mine has wood milling capabilities... he wants me to find a piece of wood that he can turn it into a cutting board for my kitchen.

I am looking for a variety of wood types that are safe for working with food. Does Anybody have any suggestions?

How do you fix a draw drapery rod so that the drapes meet in the middle? I moved rod from one double window to another which is just 5 inches wider. The rod and drapes are both plenty wide but I can't figure out how to get the left drape to meet the right in the center. The left one is taunt but there is plenty of drape there.
