I have had that problem before and salt works because it dehydrates them. Put it on your floors, mattresses, under couch cusions and everywhere!

It's a multi-step process that involves treating your home, your pets, and any other areas where they spend time. All areas must be treated, such as bedding (both inside and outside). Don't forget your car or truck.
Before you use any product , PLEASE READ THE LABEL and instructions. Some products are not to be used directly on the pet. Others can be applied safely on adult dogs, but can be deadly if used on cats, puppies, or kittens.
Try the link below for chemical-free products. There are businesses in my area that will come to your home, apply Fleabusters for you and if you see fleas again, may retreat your your home for free. Call and ask about the guarantee program. If you're interested. The last time I checked, there were discounts and free shipping available for some DIY items. Full disclosure- I am not employed by, nor do I sell any Fleabuster products. My comments echo those of friends who have purchased the service.
Your local pest exterminator may provide this service as well.

You may find the two following links informative. Each one is from a animal pharmaceutical company that offers canine and feline flea control products. Both have information on the flea life cycle.

Call a professional exterminator, and get your pet out of the house and don't bring it back in for a days afterwards.
I had fleas in a house in NC, and every time I tried the bombs, using twice as many as required, I would come home to find them running laps on the newspapers the bombs were placed on, snorting up the leftover chemicals.

Hope something helps you out of this. Good luck!!

An easy way is to get a pie pan with soapy water and set it on the floor. Point a lamp at the water and the fleas will jump into the pan of water. The liquid soap will keep them from being able to get out.

simple... You treat your animals with atvantage, go to the store and buy lots of flea bombs. 1 for each small room and 2 for larger rooms. Trust me your gonna need them. Shut all windows, Get all your house plants outside, put parishable foods in the refridgerator, cover coffee pot in plastic bag.. likewise with other items you may not want to wash. Dishes away in cabinents. Keep those shut. Read directions on bombs. Follow them. Return at appropriate time, open every window door, and run fans to clear the air. Vaccum dead fleas, and remove vaccum bag outside. Depending on the severity, you may have to do again. In a week.

There are sprays available for this. First, treat your animal with Frontline. Then spray down upholstery and rugs, etc.. Remove everyone from the home, pets, too, for 24 hours, and set off flea bombs. You can get these at your hardware store.
