I made the mistake of asking about hot water heaters and got an answer that hot water doesn't need to be heated. lol So I was wondering if anybody could answer this question that I have a habit of saying a lot. ha ha.

"Unloosen" means to tighten, and in most cases you do that by turning it clockwise.
For some obscure Orwellian reason, you would unloosen the fittings to a propane tank on a gas grill by turning it counterclockwise, which has nearly caused me on a couple of occasions to blow myself up when I tried to unloosen it by turning it clockwise.

Put the tip of your driver in screw slot apply light pressure and turn it clockwise. If it refuses to unloosen then it's probably striped. You will need to get a new screw. If the hole is stripped you will need to get a screw that is about 1/16th bigger round than the screw that will not unloosen. Or you can drill the hole out and use a screw appropriate to the new hole size.

easily by turning to the left to loosen. However if it still stuck and will not move try hitting the screwdriver handle with a hammer while the bottom part is in the screw in order to loosen the screw and then try turning the screw to the left. Good Luck hope it works, I have some that I am still unable to loosen.
