How do you fix a draw drapery rod so that the drapes meet in the middle? I moved rod from one double window to another which is just 5 inches wider. The rod and drapes are both plenty wide but I can't figure out how to get the left drape to meet the right in the center. The left one is taunt but there is plenty of drape there.

I think what you are talking about is something called a traverse rod. From forum.doityourself.com:

"The cord that controls the draw is usually adjusted to suit the rod's size and then the excess is cut off. Since you have now lengthened the rod to adjust to a wider window you may need to install new cord.

Pop on down to your local drapery department. They will have cord and can also tell you exactly what you need to do."

Also, there is another link, below, that shows what it all looks like, so you can see if that is what you have -- the bottom of the page has the whole breakdown of pulleys, brackets, lacing, etc.

Hope this helps!! Good luck.

Moving from small to large ,Go figure. See if the rod has stopps in the center. If so a screwdriver should fix it.If not adjust hanger hooks.
