I am painting my room with 2 coats of primer then paint. If I draw all over my room with sharpies first (I have been wanting to do that for a long time. It looks like fun.), will you be able to see it through the primer and paint????????

Thank you!!!!!!!!

p.s I just put this in the "DIY" category because I have no clue what category to put the question in.

We are selling our trailer home and we want to fix it up a bit. We have black mold in the ceiling, and we want to get rid of it, without totally ruining the ceiling. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Or give me any tips on how to do it? Thanks!

I have just tiled my kitchen floor with ceramic tile. The grout lines are black (well, dark grey, actually). But, in a few spots the white mortar is sticking up and showing through the grout.

I'm trying to "Update" a 1996 Manufactured Double-Wide and would like to remove the ugly original lighting and install recessed lighting throughout the home. Is this possible? Can I use the regular housing that is available for stick built homes?

I'm worried about 2 bedroom doors that I've ordered. The widths of my existing doors are 30 3/4 inches, and 30 1/2 inches. The guy at the hardware store suggested that I go with a 30 inch widths for the new doors, and now I'm having doubts.

The space in between the frames (which I'm keeping) appears to be exactly 30 inches wide - is it necessary to have a little extra width on either side of the door, overlapping the frame? Should I change the order to go up to the next size (32 inch width) and shave the new doors down to match the existing ones, or will I really be O.K. with the 30 inch width for the new ones?

Thanks.

I layed a floor with rmc fibre screed 10 months ago and tested it with a protometer. I got a moisture reading of about 19% is this ok? The floor has been washed over with a pva solution to supress the dust could this have retained some of the moisture?

Today dont most production homes apply aluminum directly over the 2x4 that is nailed along the overhangs of the truss, which then hold the soffit in place nailed directly to the 2x4 and slides into f-channel at the house.
