The hinges need moving but the problem is that the bottom hinge screw heads are underneath the bottom of the fridge freezer. Can I turn it upside down to get at them?

no dont turn it upside down lean it back against a wall until you can get to the fixings with your screw driver or spanner.
you should leave it for a couple of hours before you switch it on to allow the refrigerant to settle depending on the model, there will be instructions to advise if its a new one

You should lay it on its side ( empty of course) to gain access to the lower door screws.

When you have finished, stand it back upright to allow the lubricant in the compressor to settle to the bottom for at least half an hour if it is the new non-cfc gasses, or leave it for more than an hour before switching on if it is one of the earlier R22 types.

I have tried to do this with all the fridge freezers I have had and no joy. Look in the manual they may of put instructions in there. Failing that try emailing LEC and asking them, they should be happy to email you some instructions.
