plumber's snake can be really helpful

Consider a drain cleaner only as a last resort. Make sure that any product used is specifically marked as safe for use with porcelain, and follow the manufacturer's directions carefully. Never mix any of these chemical agents, as dangerous reactions could occur.

If you have some heavy gauge wire you can put a 3 inch bite on the end of it and fish it through the bowl twisting it in one direction til it won't go in any farther. This is something like using a "snake" drain pipe cleaner, most clogs are right at the trap of the bowl and you'll feel some resisist when you hit it. Then try re flushing the toilet til it flushes properly.

You can get a SNAKE at Lowes or HD, you put the end into the toilet, work it down, like a snake and crank on the handle, which spins the snake.

You got a lot of good answers above.

LOL, you could put your lips over the bowl and blow. Just kidding.

High pressure hose? Get the garden hose, poke it down the toilet and turn it on full bore! The blockage might be in the pipe where the toilet drains to, if it is....get an electric eel. Or maybe you'd better get a plumber to do it for you.

Yes, there are chemicals to use. I have the same problem and just purchased the chemical. I can't remember the name, but just ask at the store.
(I haven't used it yet, so I cannot give a review)

If this doesn't work, get what is called a snake. I don't know how much they cost, but if they are expensive you can probably rent one.

Good luck to us both!
