My husband bought me a very nice pair of cream colored leather gloves from Christmas. On a recent trip I removed them and put them in my purse only to have them marked up by a ballpoint pen. Any ideas on how I can get rid of the stains?

This happens every time that person is frustrated, or feels insecure starts shouting, calling names, and uses derogatory foul language, I don't respond walk away and plug my ears so the foul words are not audible. The person follows me and starts hitting and kicking biting, then states I made them do it. I want that stopped. What do I do.

I need to clean carpets throughout my house and am considering both hiring or buying a machine. The answers to previous carpet cleaning queries refer to experience with steam cleaners and alternative shampoo cleaners. Does anyone have the experience to tell me which of the two types of machine is best for two different types of carpet, i.e. a thick pile, sculptured carpet and also a flat pile carpet (which is much easier to clean).
