I am selling my home and have 2 bathrooms and the kitchen that needs cleaning. The maid is coming over next week to give me a quote. I am guessing $200. If more, I should probably do it myself this weekend...

How much do these usually run?

I have tried using plenty of bleach, bleach-based detergents, baking soda, etc. Still, my shirts don't get as white as those I take to the cleaners. Any solutions?

I am really getting annoyed by this.
Even After my laundry is washed & dried, it still stinks.
I use Bleach, Laundry detergent, liquid fabric softner, & dryer sheets.
still no change, especially in my towels. Its terrible. When I get out of the shower to dry off, i want to feel clean, but I cant when my clean towel smells musty...
Someone told me that my well water is the culprate.
is this true & why or why not??
thanks for your help

This may seem basic, but I was just wondering some basics for washing and drying clothes. I know how to, but it seems my clothes shrink and fade really quickly and everyone seems to have their own technique...like when do you use cold as opposed to hot water? Is it really important to wash colors together and whites together? Best ways to get stains out? Stuff like that

I'm a 24/f I recently moved and while packing i realized just how unorganized i really am, i was wondering if anybody has any organization tips for any part of the house, kitchen, bedroom, bath, etc. Its just me and my husband but we have a good amount of belongings, i have many clothes, purses and shoes, not a ton of closet space so i bought a couple of those plastic closets, we moved into an adorable 2 bedroom duplex, so we do have a spare bedroom, any advice would be greatly appreciated

When we stand in the bathroom doing our hair, hairspray has accumulated on the door behind us. I have tried a lot of cleaners to get it off, but it's a struggle. Any suggestions?

I don't have a dishwasher (and probably won't get one) so what would save me money- using paper plates or washing dishes?
Keep in mind that there are 5 of us in the household- two adults and three children, ages 7 and under.

We got a very nice solid wood desk from someone who smokes. We kept in on the enclosed porch for about a week to air out, cleaned it up, and brought it in. I think it smells like stale cigarettes still. It's gross, but I don't want to get rid of the desk. I'm hoping someone knows of a cool product or home remedy type thing to maybe get rid or mask the smell forever! HELP!
