I am really getting annoyed by this.
Even After my laundry is washed & dried, it still stinks.
I use Bleach, Laundry detergent, liquid fabric softner, & dryer sheets.
still no change, especially in my towels. Its terrible. When I get out of the shower to dry off, i want to feel clean, but I cant when my clean towel smells musty...
Someone told me that my well water is the culprate.
is this true & why or why not??
thanks for your help

If it was your well water you would notice the smell in the shower and drinking water also. I used to babysit for a couple that had and Artesian well and their water smelled like sulpher, but not just in their washing machine. How old are the pipes in your house, or the pipes that lead to the washing machine? They might have rust in them, making your laundry smell bad. Put some vinegar in the cup that is for liquid fabric softener and it will add it to the rinse water and that should take care of the problem.

It could be your water, but more likely it is your water heater. There is a magnesium rod in the middle of the water heater that will begin to dissolve over time. Plumbers call it the "stink rod" because it can cause your water to take on an unpleasant odor. The rod can be replaced by a plumber (or you if you are handy).

sulpher, in well water, you need a treatment system. Call a plumber to come test your water and buy a good system have it installed by a pro so its under warranty on both ends (product and installation)

felix was not wrong it's called an annode rod and it will make your hot water stink ,but, that would be noticeable at all faucets.
