Clean it with vinegar to neutalize the odor let dry, cover with bakin soda for a while, vacuum up. If the odor still persists, then febreeze the heck out of it.

You need an enzyme cleaner, available at shops that sell pet supplies. These cleaners really work for any biological stains, including blood, vomit, and urine.
