We just installed new carpeting in a store and the employees say that the smell of formaldahyde is overwhelming. Apparently the glue that they use to put the carpet down contains the substance. They say that they are getting red eyes by the end of the day. Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell of how long it takes to dissipate

Our dog and cat shed everywhere, and the only places that we aren't able to keep clean are the hardwood floor in the living room and the Pergo floor in the kitchen. We've tried everything from our vaccuum cleaner to a Swiffer to a dust mop, but we can't ever pick up all of the hair. What has worked for you?

I have enamel surface shower and it's more than 10 years old. There's no fan but there is a window. Clorox bleach product use to work, but not anymore. Surface now turns brown on contact with any strong bleach solution. I think the surface has worn down. Clorox customer support suggested using hydrogen peroxide, but it doesn't work.

We've recently moved in with my mother in law for a few months and I know people do things differently but I was always taught to do dishes in a sink of water with HOT water and soap. My mother in law is a "clean as you go" person and she has one of those sponges with the tube filled with dish soap and she will just wash with whatever water temp comes out of the tap first which for a few moments is cold. I had no problem with that until she did this with a cutting board that she had cut raw chicken on... I am concerned firstly for the cleanliness of the board the next time I go to cut an apple on it for my daughter and secondly for the spread of germs and selomonela to other dishes. Are my concerns valid- does this sponge clean as well as soap and water in a sink? Will it spread germs? Is that cutting board clean?

I have pants that fit me perfectly. And no, they are not tight. I can take them off without unbuttoning them. Well, After a while, they start getting a lot bigger and the legs get really big (b/c of the way I sit, the legs stretch a lot) and I end up having to pull up my pants for the rest of the day. These are my favorite pants! Thanks for your help.

I just put down a new ceramic floor and I worry that it will get scratched up from outdoor debris. I've been looking for a boot tray but can't seem to find them anywhere. Got any idea's?

Inside the car is extremely clean but the smell is disgusting. Tried leaving the windows open but it doesn't help. If I leave the windows closed and get in it the next day it smells so bad I can't stay inside. Yet the car itself is extremely clean! WHat would it be and how to get rid of this smell??

me & the missus always argue about it being called either a quilt as in continental quilt, or a duvet.
I argue that the duvet is the american term and quilt is the european term. what do you think?

My husband let me borrow his Warrick Dunn jersey and my niece and I were jacking around and I got a chocolate stain on it. It's very light after washing it, but it's still there...Can someone help me figure out how to get this stain out? He's likely to be really mad if he finds out, considering it's one of the more expensive jerseys...I tried NFL.com but they didn't have anything...THANKS!!! =)

I am getting so frustrated with my clutter. I think my husband may be more frustrated however.
I am done. But I need advice. Where do I start and how do I keep things clutter free. I just want a nice clean house. Not all this STUFF everywhere. I dont know why it is so hard for me....
My bedroom is the toughest. I just want a simple clean bedroom but I have clothes and STUFF everywhere. I cant relax in my house because I constantly feel like I should be organizing and cleaning but I just dont have the energy for it.
Please help...I would appreciate it so much as would my husband and future family.
Thank you in advance...Happy Holidays
