How do you feel when other people see you wearing rubber gloves?

I've heard some people-housewives especially, get unusual psychological reactions to this. As this is in the field of my profesion, I was hoping you could offer me some insight.

He has e mailed me about how I wear rubber gloves , how I take them off and so on.

Almost everyday he has another question about rubber gloves.

As a plumber, I use some type of glove all the time. It's when I don't use my gloves, that some people look at me funny. Some situations require me to remove my gloves. I wash my hands on average about 15-20 times a day.

i work hotel maintenance in a 250 room hotel. i wear them when i work on drains and toilets. it doesn't bother me any. in fact i think it is dumb not to. i also do some work in house keeping. you never know what can be on dirty laundry. rubber gloves help prevent the spread of diseases, that includes colds etc. rubber gloves are a good thing if for nothing else but health reasons.

why would anyone look at anyone strange because they wear rubber gloves if you are using it for work. Now if you just wear them out to make a fashion statement then yeah people may look at you weird.

I usually do not get any reaction from people seeing me wear rubber gloves. It is when they see the clothes pin on my nose that gets a reaction.

i have to clean appartments up when tennants move out and i dont care what ppl that see me think because i want to keep myself safe from chemicals used in cleaning. not to mention whatever unknown filthy little bacteria i may come in contact with!
