Hi, its easy to remove gum from carpet. While ice may not work, WD40 definately will take it right off. Soak with WD-40 and rub with a cloth. This may take a couple of applications depending on how much gum. The WD-40 breaks down the gum. Then clean the area with a dab of soap and water and it'll be as good as new.

If you don't have WD40, try rubbing peanut butter on the gum. The oils in the peanut butter will allow you to remove the gum from the fibers. Then wash away the peanut butter and you are good to go!

You can buy a gum remover spray that instantly freezes the gum than you use a spoon to scrape at it, it will break into small hard pieces than you vacuum it up. Call a janitorial supply store for this product it's reasonably cheap and handy to have around the house. Works on wax also.

Peanut butter.

Get a thing of peanut butter, and make sure its a lot...maybe about 4 TBS of it.

Rub it it for quite a while.

The gum will start comming up with the peanut butter.

Good Luck.

Lighter fluid, I use Ronsonol lighter fuel, it works like a charm, no need to scrub very hard, it disolves the gum.
