I had to get a gas range for my new home, because it was too expensive to change the wiring to electric for the range. It would have involved tearing down an outside wall. I really wanted a smooth top stove, but alas I have a black gas one. All of my appliances are black and really pretty just always look "spotty'. I could really use some help. Thanks!

I have been given and purchased several pieces of Guardian Service Aluminum Cookware. Some of my pieces have pitting and utensil scratches inside of them. Others have years of baked/cooked on grease and goo on the outside. Still others are just dark from who knows what. I'm trying to find the best way to clean and possibly refinish (or remove the majority of the scratching and pitting)on the inside of my pots. I would also like to find the best way to clean the grease and goo from the outside and restore them to there former shiny finish. The outside of my pots are what some people call hammered aluminum finish. I'm not sure how to best describe the outside but it looks like indentions on the surface. I've tried scrubbing with a brass bristle brush and steel wool. It doesn't remove any of the pitting and scratching on the inside and very little of the goo and grease on the outside. The indentions seem to fill up with the grease and goo. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I recently ordered a jacket off of the internet and when it came, It had a ball point pen mark on it. I really like it and don't want to return it. It says that it is 100% polyester all over. I have tried wiping it with a white cloth, like it says, rubbing alchohal, like my mom suggested, and a product called "Goof Off," none of which had any effect. I don't want to bleach it because it has some green, and it isn't supposed to be washed either. What do I do?

I don't have a dishwasher and I only have a single sink. What I have always done is apply dish detergent to a sponge, pre-rinse and scrub the dishes and rinse them off under running water. I have the hot water running the whole time.

Ok...my question sounds weird Iknow BUT! I need help. My little brother was staying with us and I didn't know he is having difficulties wetting the bed. Long story short...I need to clean my couch! Not all of it comes apart, and I can't really use a machine on it because it's fiberfill and batting cushions. So any help? How do I get the urine smell out? (It's so bad!) How do I get out any stains? And have you ever used anything that makes the furniture look brighter? Thanks in advance to all your suggestions!

Can anyone tell me how to get glue out of clothing. My son came home from school today with a large amount of dried up glue caked on his new shirt. I need a suggestion that won't ruin the clothing. Thanks!

I have two cast iron skillets and I can not seem to get them clean. No matter how hard I scrub there is always a black residue when I dry them off. I am also not sure about how often I need to season them, wether it is every time I use them or once a week or what. I have looked online but some of the suggestions seem a little scary! I've read that I should use oven cleaner, lye and ammonia just to name a few. I started using cast iron to get away from the chemicals found in Teflon, so naturally I don't want to use these chemical containing cleaners on my cast iron pans. I don't even use oven cleaner or ammonia when I clean my house, too many toxic fumes. The woman who said to use lye even warned not to breath the fumes because they are lethal. That's not something I want on a pan that I use to prepare my children's food!!!!! I would appreciate any suggestions.

I have a cream rug, which I love, but it doesn't fit in the washing machine, and it has a few old marks on it - dirt mainly I think, though possibly a drop or two of red wine as well! Are there any products I can use / ways of cleaning it to bring it up a bit nicer?
