Possibly any consignment store, salvation army or even a garage sale. If you do decide to donate, its good for a write off.

I hate to agree with hiddenhottie, but she is right, Goodwill is very picky about clothing, you'd be better off donating to a domestic abuse shelter, homeless shelter or Salvation Army. I've done the Ebay thing and it's a lot of work, not always worth it, and they don't always sell. A girl at work told me about the Freecycle.org website, I'm gonna check it out, sounds promising, so much stuff is thrown away in landfills each year.

Besides the donations to charity and the resellers you could also contact your local branch of FREECYCLE. This free on-line group is a way for members to offer things for free that they no longer need (like baby clothes or maternity clothes or old furniture). Other members who might need the stuff that is offered contact the offeror and arrange to pickup that stuff. No money changes hands, nothing ends up clogging the landfills of America, and as long as there are a variety of askers and givers it all comes out even in the long run. Look online. I am sure there are branches in Manhattan neighborhoods.

Check yellowpages.com for consignment shops. Goodwill also will accept donations and give you a coupon for like 20% off of your next purchase also tax deductions. You may check in yahoo to see if there is a freecycle locally in your area. They are awesome. People recycle each others old stuff no charge to each other, and when you sign up for free with them, you can always get more up to date things for your baby, by posting a request on their web page. Good Luck!!!!

i usually give to the local womens shelter. the women in the shelter can get clothing for job interviews and such, plus they sell the rest to help support the shelter. i don't know about elsewhere, but here in east texas, goodwill doesn't seem to give a crap about your donations. maybe they just already have more stuff than they can handle.

Go to yahoo's home page, click on "groups" and type in Manhattan FreeCycle or ManhattanCafe. Join the groups and post your stuff (FreeCycle is obviously "free" and the Cafe is to sell).
If you can't find it that way, go to www.freecycle.org and search by region/area.
Or sell it all on eBay.
