Try rubbing alcohol or brake cleaner on an absorbant cloth, then rub it back and forth over it, and alternate with blotting.

If it starts to come up without damaging your fabrics, continue this process. You may want to check a spot on the back of the soft before you do it.

Try soaking a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol and try to rub the black one off. The red ink is going to be a problem. You may be able to use the same thing, but try it in the least conspicuous place first. You may want to call in a professional upholstery cleaner. It would probably be worth the price.

i agree with whoever was the one that said to call the professionals. Sometimes home remedies are good but other times you can make matters worse. Especially if it's a good carpet and will not be replaced for a long time, keep it that way. Call in the professionals. What's going to be more expensive new carpet because you tried home remedies or a spot treatment from professionals?

I started using the Woolite OxyDeep Spot & Stain carpet cleaner and it works amazingly well. It even got old, set-in stains out of our light colored carpet. I'd say try it on a small spot and see what happens. Good luck!

DON'T TOUCH IT!! Call the carpet people...they have special stuff they put on that takes it right out. DON'T do someone's home remedy...I ruined my carpet that way. I use CHEM DRY...they do a great job.
