I just got back from visiting my sister in Maine and I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. While there I brought Scrubbing Bubbles foam cleaners as I am a clean freak and love to try anything new. This was new to me as we can not get it here yet. For your bathroom just please go and buy one can ($2.99) and you will NEVER use anything else in your bathroom. Spray it on, wait about 30 seconds and wipe it off and everything will just sparkle. For my floors I use good old Mr. Clean and a splash of Javex. I have alot of traffic going through my house all the time with teenagers especially on my kitchen floor and this always works fo rme. But get the Bubbles, OK.

I'm so amazed at how brain washed we in America have become by advertising Here goes my ad - , water, Yes, warm water will take a ton of things off... you should try it, then take a look at what is left, if its moldy or stained, a small dab of bleach. if you use a toilet brush in the bowl there is a lot of preventive things that will take care of but the thick bowl cleaner is good if things have gotten out of hand and need a little help. Water is amazing on floors too. if you want a shine then that is another topic and a little fresh scent is nice with many different products. Vinegar does cut grease off of range hoods and cabinets and walls, or even tar stains on windows from smokers. I do have one favorite product that is the Mr Clean Magic scrubber... no chemicals no soap and it Safely takes soap scum and water spots from shower walls and faucets.. Best wishes.

I like the Lysol products for basic tub/sink cleaning, plus their toilet cleaner. But the product that I love the best is the Mr. Clean Eraser - the heavyduty one. It is so great at getting the grout clean on my tile floors and the only thing I've found to get the white fiberglass clean on the shower floor. It rocks!

I, personally, like CLR for soap scum and Ajax for the toilet, but I'd love to know what everyone else uses (maybe it'll be better than the stuff I currently use). I moved in with my fiance about 3/4 months ago and the toilet was, well, not clean, to say the least. It had a really yellowish orange ring that I thought I'd never get rid of but I actually did, eventually. The shower, tub, and shower door were covered in soap scum so I sprayed everything down with CLR and scrubbed the sh-t out of everything with a sponge, the type you use to scrub dishes with, to reveal a see-through shower door that I didnt know was supposed to actually be see-through (it's sort of mirror-like, you can see your reflection whilst out of the shower but cant see inside, and you can see everything perfectly well from inside the shower).

It's not what you use, it's what you DO with it that counts! : )
If you do an internet search on green cleaning tips, you'll find lots of ideas about using non-harmful, everyday, cheap products that you probably already have in your kitchen, like lemon juice, baking soda and white vinegar. Also check out some of the eco-friendly cleaning products available - I use Ecover and think of the fish! : )

i admire solar & Earth All purpose purifier. I finally end up dizzy and unable to respire whilst utilising Lysol or Scrubbing Bubbles, yet this works in simple terms besides and scents like actual oranges.

I use to use bleach. However, I find it hard to breath after awhile. I now use Simple Green. It gets things so clean. I even use it to clean my carpet too. It's not harmful at all.
