Above, the link to part one, Now i have found that the work carried out is dispicable! They have put the wrong support in the fire and the mortar is flaking away, revealing that some parts have not been bonded correctly. I had a man out to fit the aga into th fire place and they said they would have to remove the aga due to the unlevelled floor and the fact the the chimney may well fall down!?

I have cancelled the transfer that was going through to their account and await their phone call.

Anything else i can do?

Thank you in advance!!

I am looking for a bell that I can mount on my back door- kind of like what you see in a lot of stores- just to let me know when it is being opened. I live around a good number of popular stores. Does anyone know where to find something like that? Thanks

I've used straight ammonia, ammonia with hot water. I've removed a few layers but I need to remove all of it without damaging the vinyl no-wax floor. (Men, I tell you!)

I just took possession of a new rental, and found mildew in the freezer as well as a few other things that were dirty. He informed me the unit is not professionally cleaned in between, and "dont worry they didn't get their deposits back" about the previous tenant. Well if thats the case, shouldn't the money have been used to clean the place up? I mean there's pee under the toilet seat, the fridge and freezer are filthy (in addition to the mildew) and they left stuff in the dishwasher and garage. Am I way off base here? What can I do?

I was told by a painter to never use flat paint in a bathroom. He said to always use an oil based paint or an enamel specified for kitchen and bath. I went to get paint for my ceiling (because it will be white vs. green for the walls) and the lady at Lowes told me I was crazy for getting semi-gloss for the ceiling. I told her it was for the bathroom ceiling, but she insisted I use flat paint. She sold me a paint that doesn't say "kitchen and bath" like the paint I bought for the walls. I can understand using semi-gloss because of it creates more of a moisture barrier, but flat???

I added bleach to a natural toliet cleaner. It started foaming out of bottle and the smell and fumes overwhelmed me. My eyes were burning and my throat and nostrils. I got some fresh air but can still smell it even though I have venilated the area. Will I be ok? I feel ok now....just eyes burning still. I have no headache or dizziness. What should I do?

We want to replace laminant tile with ceramic, and replace a vanity sink with pedistel sink. We aren't plumbers so curious if we should do sink or floor first. Also how difficult is the sink? I think we will leave the floor to experts.

So, I'm not going to be home for awhile. If I leave my radiator off, the temperature in my room will probably drop below freezing, and my plants will die. If I leave my radiator all the way on, I'll cook everything. How do I set the radiator to a happy medium? I've tried only opening both valves a little bit, but this made more noise than I'm prepared to deal with. I tried just opening one all the way, and only opening the other a little. I tried the reverse, too. I have no idea what I'm doing. And I can't tell which valve the steam is coming in from and which one it's going out through. Provided it's even steam! Help me.

We tried taking the doorknob off and can't even get it off. No key and the turn lock actually still turns and the mechanism inside is moving. Just not the part that is inside the doorjamb.
