Apparently, by using British 240V light bulbs, you can get almost the same ammount of light, but the bulbs will last for a lot longer, and I mean a LOT. Like, barring accidents, tens of years.
You will need the screw in type of bulb, but if you're visiting the U.K. in the near future, it may be worth getting a dozen or so. I think it's due to the RMS value of the voltage. Perhaps someone would enlighten me.

My toilet has been clogged for about a week. I actually have two plungers, but I'm suffering from a crippling combination of laziness and apathy. When I flush, the bowl fills with water and drains completely by the next day. Is human excrement water soluble enough that the problem will eventually correct itself or will the maintenance man be left with the task of unclogging the commode after I move out in the summer? Is there a possibility that this could effect my security deposit?

Hi, we have bought an old house which as a gas fire with a back boiler for the central heating system and water. the problem is that the boiler only works with four of the ten radiators in the house. We have bleed the sytem and do intend to change it all out to a combi boiler and gas fire but cannot until the new year. At the moment we are in a freezing house with only minimum heating.

Does anybody know if there are valves thatt can shut down half the central heating system on these boilers or is there anything else we can do to try and encourage it to heat further radiators?

I just read this in an Angie's List article. It seems like this would be most welcome in WI so I'm curious as to why.

All feedback on this question is welcome. I am looking for honest information on how you felt about the reliability of the product. Did it actually make you feel more secure in your home? Was it sensitive enough to where you though it was a quality product? Thanks and have a good day.

I have a faux leather purse that stinks like smoke. Are there any "home remedies" to get rid of the smell? I think someone bought this purse and then returned it to the store smelling horrible.

I am thinking that in the radiant system if someone is between you and the radiant source you would not be able to get warm.

This is not A question , but it is A link for the unfortunate people that have been through the ice storm disaster. If you suffered personal property losses you may apply for assistance at the link below to recover losses.Keep in mind ,me being through 19 hurricanes, that people will try to scam to haul yard debris off, but once declared A disaster area usually the local city/government will haul this debris for free by simply cutting it up and placing at the curb side. Call yuour local government and ask about this before paying someone. Here is a link for federal aid
