We're planning on redoing our bathroom at some point and I'm looking for opinions.

We have wainscotting in our bathroom that we plan to paint white. I'd like to do a cherry stain colored vanity, but others have told me I should do a white vanity to match the white wainscotting. What do you think?

As I drive around I see these huge metal rustic looking stars hanging on the outside of people's homes and I want to know what they mean.

The wall is on the outer part of the shower stall. The inside of the showere is fine it's just the lower part of the outside wall between the shower stall and the vanity. I was wondering if just the lower portion of the wall could be replaced and if so, with what type of replacement. I dont have a lot to spend so it needs to be the least expensive fix I can do myself.

I accidentally vacuumed up 5 or 6 of those small batteries (ones you use for laser pointers, calculaters, etc.). Will the vacuum shock me if I continue to use it?? I am sorry if this sounds dumb..but I truly don't know the answer!!!

I rented a room at one lady's for a year and a half. After a year my bed broke. Not because i was jumping on it, it just broke, guess it was a bit old (before that an thin old table, too). So my landlady was smart enough to offer me to get the bed for which i had to pay! She didnt have to,as i got a bed for free from my friend (of better quality she wanted to get me). Well, now, that is 6months late

The shovel head worm is harmless to humans and eats snails, slugs, etc. But the problem is that they eat the earthworms too and I want to keep my earthworms. Also I am tired of peeling them off of my cats and dogs, it creates a nasty sticky issue.
Any help appreciated! Thanks

The seal between the door and the tub has a piece torn out of it and it leaks. I was told it would cost $170 to fix and I was wondering if there is any "bandaid" type fix I can do until we have the money. Someone said I could try duct tape, but I doubt that would create the seal in order to keep water from leaking out.

It's not a lot of water and the piece torn out is about a half of an inch. I know I could probably even fix the seal myself when I had the time.

Any ideas on quick fixes would be great, I need my washer! :)

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a queen size bed. So I bought queen size sheets. I get them home and they don't fit! They are too small. So I go back to the store and buy king size sheets. They are too big!! What the hell is this about? Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?
