soak the stained part of the sheet in very cold water for 15 minutes then put a dab of tide directly on the spot and scrub with a toothbrush for 3 minutes if you have stain remover - spray n wash or some thing spray the stain too wash immediately if the stain isnt out when it is finished washing you will need to all that again but do not dry it if the stain isnt out the heat causes the stain to set

This is what I do soak the sheets in cold water sometimes you might have to soak them for a couple of days .Also if you can soak them in the bathtub. Just keep checking ever so often you can even add stain remover on it but still let it soak. Don't put it in the dryer untill the stain is removed. Because your dyer will set the stain in and you won't be able to get it out then.

Oxydizing agents like Chlorine or Peroxide don't remove blood stains. They hide them by bleaching the stains until they are invisible.

* Fresh blood stain removal -

1. Flush as much of the blood away in cold water.
2. Wash with any laundry powder in cold water (Temps >35 C or 95 F set blood stains).
3. Then rinse with cold water.

* Set blood stains (Yellow rust like stains contain iron) -

For set blood stains, a Phosphoric or Oxalic acid containing rust removers (Try RoVer, Whink - Home Depot) can be used to dissolve stains. Rinse twice with warm water.
Then wash as normal with laundry detergent.

Good Luck!!

Hydrogen peroxide, just pour it on the stain then wash. It destoys the redblood cells but dosn't hurt the cloth (in most cases).

The other stuff may work but this a cheap and safe way to get rid of the blood. See how many times it is recommended by the people sending you answers. It should be in the medicine cabine or at the pharmacy a large bottle costs about 99 cents.

This may sound funny, but hair spray helps to remove blood stains. Spray it on and rinse it with cold water only so it doesn't set. Then try washing the sheets normally or use bleach on white sheets and bleach alternative or oxi-clean on non-white sheets. Good Luck!

Oh,,,ok there are some ways to remove the stains...first dont soak it, it will be more difficult to wash..don't use bleaching ingredient too, it may give discoloration to the whole sheet, I mean that part of the blood stain will be whiter than the other parts of the sheet...use Surf with calamansi(sour lemon) and just leave it there for about ten minutes, then with your hands just do a little of brushing but light brushing....or simply use your hands in squeezing that part...or simply use salt solution , just put salt and start washing it with your hands...then it will be ok...ok?

Soak the sheet in cold water; gently rub the stain with a brush until the stain is gone.

I just had a similar situation myself.
My son had a bloody nose while on vacation and he dripped blood on MY SWEATSHIRT that he borrowed.
So, I immediately wet it with cold water, went to Walmart and bought a spray bottle of SHOUT Gel Advanced (formulated for set in stains) and I bought a small bottle of WISK Multi action (Stain dissolving power).
I sprayed the SHOUT on the blood stain and rubbed it as hard as a could, then let it sit for an hour, then I washed it in cold wated with the Wisk and the stain was GONE!
Hope this helps!
